What's In Stock, and How Cash & Carry Works
Special-order flooring can mean a wait of weeks before a single box shows up. A good chunk of what we sell at the Mapleton showroom sits in stock instead, ready to load into your truck the same day you buy it. Carpet remnants and rolls, LVP, and hardwood all rotate through, and what's in stock changes as we sell through it and restock.
There's no appointment required to buy materials only. Walk into the showroom at 102 Maple St during the week, or on a Saturday by appointment if you'd like someone free to help you compare, tell us the room and the rough square footage, and pay for what you're taking home that day. If what you want isn't in stock, we can usually tell you on the spot whether it's worth special-ordering or whether something already on the rack will do the job just as well.

What to Buy Along With the Floor
The floor itself is rarely the only thing a DIY job needs. Underlayment or pad changes how a floor feels underfoot and how well it holds up, transition strips are what make the seam between rooms or flooring types look finished instead of raw, and trim closes the gap at the wall. We carry Topstep vents and registers too, so a floor register doesn't end up mismatched against a brand-new floor.
If you're not sure what a given install calls for, ask before you check out. It's a lot cheaper to buy the right transition strip the first time than to make a second trip because the floor and the door threshold don't meet cleanly.

Installer Tips, and When It's Worth Calling the Crew Instead
A straightforward room with a square layout is a reasonable DIY project for someone comfortable with basic tools. Where DIY installs usually go sideways is subfloor prep skipped to save a weekend, expansion gaps left out at the walls, or a layout that wasn't dry-fit before the first row went down, all fixable in advance, expensive to fix after the fact.
If the job involves a shower, a basement with any moisture history, or a layout with a lot of cuts and transitions, it's worth having us take a look before you commit to doing it yourself. And if partway through a project you decide you'd rather hand it off, we're the same in-house crew either way, no subcontractors, just call or text and we'll set up a free in-home estimate to finish it right.
